Zonta Member and long time Miami Lakes resident Dr. Ruth Schobel is honored for her long history of contributions to pediatric health in the community.
Longtime Zonta member and well known local pediatrician Dr. Ruth Schobel has been recognized for her outstanding contributions to Health Services. The Town of Miami Lakes' Cultural Affairs Committee acknowledges and celebrates “Women of Distinction” each year; it recognizes women who either live or work in Miami Lakes, and have made significant contributions to the community.
“Dr. Schobel took care of my daughter since she was born in 1985 until she was a young lady. This little girl had her own daughter, and she is now taking her to Dr. Schobel! Thank You Dr. Schobel for taking care of two generations”
Dr. Ruth Schobel, MD is a board certified pediatrician who has been serving children in Miami Lakes for almost 40 years. A fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, she earned her degree from University of Miami's Miller School of Medicine, and completely her residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital before opening her office in Miami Lakes.
For her long term health service provisions, public service and continued commitment to the community through her pediatric practice, Dr. Schobel received the award for Distinction in the area of Health. Miami Lakes Cultural Affairs Committee hosted the awards luncheon on March 30 at Shula’s Hotel on Main Street in honor of Women’s History Month.
