Our January Amelia Earhart Luncheon was truly a memorable event that left everyone in awe! The atmosphere was electric as we gathered to celebrate our accomplishments and honor some remarkable individuals. We were thrilled to recognize Sally Whitton as our Member of the Month, showcasing her dedication and contributions to our organization. Furthermore, the highlight of the luncheon was undoubtedly the scholarship donation presented to Bailey Bond from FIU School of Engineering, emphasizing our commitment to supporting education and empowering future leaders in the field.
Adding to the charm of the event, a special moment unfolded when retired flight attendants, including our esteemed member Irene Schwartz, graced us by modeling their iconic uniforms from the past, evoking a sense of nostalgia and admiration for their service. The luncheon reached new heights when United States Air Force Lt. Colonel Veronica Baez took the stage to share her inspiring journey and insights with our attendees, leaving a lasting impact on all those present. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Maria Crowley, our esteemed Zonta District 11 Lt. Governor, for her invaluable presence and active participation in our meeting, enriching the experience for everyone involved. The January Amelia Earhart Luncheon was a true testament to the spirit of camaraderie, empowerment, and excellence that defines our organization, setting the stage for more incredible moments to come in the future.
