Lotus House is one of several charities supported by the Zonta Club of Miami Lakes.

 

The charity is a residential facility that provides shelter and other resources to homeless women and infant children. Lotus House is located in Overtown, and has been described as residing in one of the poorest areas of the any large city in the United States. Lotus House is unique in its quest to empower women and their children to improve their lives on every level.

The Zonta Club of Miami Lakes raises funds to contribute to the work that the Lotus House does on a daily basis. Additionally, Miami Lakes Zontas also volunteer their time to the Lotus House as needed.
