Zonta 16 Days of Activism

The ZCML arranged for three different locations in our Town to participate in the 16 days of Activism. Our first event took place at the Miami Lakes Public Library, a hub of community engagement and learning. At the library, we strategically posted eye-catching flyers depicting the various activities planned for the 16 days, aiming to raise awareness and encourage participation among library visitors. The second location chosen was the Miami Lakes City Hall, a central point of civic activity and governance. Here, the flyers were prominently displayed on the table at the entrance to the Chamber, ensuring that they would be seen by all individuals entering the hall for official business. Additionally, the flyers were creatively placed on the Christmas Tree, symbolizing the spirit of giving and community unity during this important campaign.

For our third location, we decided to leverage the visibility of a high-traffic area by displaying our Zonta banner in the window of one of our Member's Boutique. This strategic placement ensured that a large number of passersby would be exposed to the message of empowerment and activism promoted by the 16 days of Activism. The vibrant banner served as a visual representation of our commitment to supporting women and advocating for positive change in our community.

In addition to these physical initiatives, we also utilized digital communication channels to reach a wider audience. Our fourth action involved sending an e-mail to each member of our Club, attaching the flyer and encouraging them to share it with five friends and/or family members. This digital outreach strategy aimed to amplify our message and engage more individuals in our efforts to promote gender equality and empower women.

Overall, our involvement in the 16 days of Activism reflects our deep-rooted commitment to giving back to our community and supporting our beneficiaries. By actively engaging with various community spaces, both physical and digital, we are able to amplify our impact and inspire meaningful change. Through these collective efforts, we are dedicated to empowering women, raising awareness, and fostering a culture of inclusivity and equality within our Town.
