ZCML Zisters getting down and dirty for a good cause!
In keeping with the farm-to-table food movement, Lotus Village now has a new culinary center that includes a rooftop vegetable and herb garden. Although not it is not the a primary food source for the residents, the items grown in the garden will be used in meals for Lotus House residents. It is also hoped that this unique urban garden will inspire the joy that comes from growing and sharing healthy food for the women and children.
Zisters Esther and Magaly (left & right) volunteered their time to help with setting up this space on behalf of ZCML. Lotus House is one of the organizations the ZCML supports.
