September was a truly remarkable month for us at The Miami Lakes Hotel as we hosted an exceptional meeting that left a lasting impact on all attendees. The highlight of the gathering was the induction of four new members, a significant moment that symbolizes growth and expansion within our community. Moreover, we were honored to have guest speakers from two esteemed organizations, Safe House for Families-Miami and Lotus House, who shared valuable insights and perspectives on important issues affecting our society.
One of the most memorable parts of the meeting was the enlightening presentation delivered by our esteemed member, Dionne Stephens, on the topic of Mature Women and HIV in South Florida. Her expertise and passion shone through as she shed light on a crucial and often overlooked subject, sparking meaningful discussions and raising awareness among our members.
Furthermore, we had the pleasure of celebrating the achievements of one of our own, Peggy Hicks, who was rightfully recognized as our Member of the Month. Jan Hammond and the ZCML team organized a special tribute to honor Peggy's dedication and contributions, highlighting the spirit of camaraderie and support that defines our organization.
