2022 Kentucky Gala raises over $25,000

ZCML premier event brings together the community to support women's charities!

The Zonta Club of Miami Lakes members believe that living life to the fullest means helping others do the same. Since our chapter founding, ZCML has created many opportunities to contribute to our greater community- and our annual gala is our premier activity. This years event coincided with and incorporated the 2022 Kentucky Derby. Attendees not only dressed the part, but also had the opportunity to vote for their favorite horse, watch the race on big screens, and taste the flavors of the traditional Kentucky Derby event. The ZCML Gala is a two-decade-long tradition of investing in social capital for local charities supporting women. This year over $25,000 was raised to support Lotus House, Pace Center for Girls, Women's Heart and Breast Initiative and Footprints Foundation, among others.
